Description

The Dampier Archipalego, Western Australia

This shot was taken on the first day of my sea kayaking expedition. (The last trip my camera ever went on. It got wet:() It's a small fresh water source located on Dolphin Island, which I'm sitting in, holding my camera just above the water, with a number of water boatmen investigating me. Wading into water for a shot wasn't as bad as I imagined it would be, especiallly since I was already wet to begin with, and there was no other way to get to the other side :P

Those rocks are really red! And different from what I've seen anywhere else. Not really obvious in this shot, but the landscape looks like someone has just heaped piles of rock everywhere. In the top right, you can see a sort of domino arrangement.

I think this might be my best landscape photo so far. Please tell me what you think. Composition? Is it too saturated?

Such a beautiful landscape. So this is in Australia? I've never seen rock like this, it's erosion on the side is so angular, like crystal. I don't think it's too saturated, I think it works fine. I always think of Australia as a bright and colorful mix of greens, reds, oranges and browns under a blue sky and this is a nice mix of foliage and rock. And that water, I love the glossy look to it. The sky is so clear and bluer than normal. I like it like that though. It looks like a nice place to unwind and relax.

Looking at the other pictures in your gallery, it seems like you definitely know what you're doing. All the pictures are so professional. I would love to see some gray scale pictures. Or maybe even some with a vintage effect to them. Keep up the amazing photography.
